Koeningsklasse to organise a workshop and give a lecture for the 'Drawing Club' at the HfG Offenbach, University of Art and Design in Germany. As the Drawing Club is also part of the
After School Club (a graphic design festival organised by Eike and
Alexander Lis) I was invited to contribute an illustration to this year's ASC publication.

Here we Go took place last September. I was happy to be part of the very inspiring conferences, night-workshops, exhibitions, DJ-sets and parties with lots of beer, waffles and tattooing. I had a great time selling drawings from the kiosk that I build for the occasion. Thanks Louise & Florian for the invitation and special thanks to Andi & Susi for taking care of us, and the many many laughs.

Rajeev Basu — an artist from London — is responsible for
Tumbly, a web toy that lets you hijack websites with animated GIFs to create 'interventions'. The webpages act like a live canvas. Every time a page is hijacked, the gifs appear in random formations creating different interactions with the page. I created all the animations in collaboration with Rajeev.
THE PLANT JOURNAL
Double Flowered Camellia (2012) computer drawing
Isabel Merino, a graphic designer based in Barcelona and a curious observer of ordinairy plants and other greenery, is the art director of
The Plant Journal. She invited me to draw a Camellia for the third issue of the Journal, and I was happy to participate in this project for which a lot of great illustrators have worked before. The illustration will be included in the botanical monograph of the magazine.
PICK ME UP

Somerset House, London 2012. The first annual contemporary graphic art fair in the UK, returned for its biggest edition yet. I had this florist stand build by the
White Wall Company (thanks Chris), in which I practically lived for fourteen days. The whole thing was a bit of a continuation of the flora themed solo show from last year at the Nina sagt Galerie in Düsseldorf, Germany. I created three screen prints, fourteen postcards, three full color and four black & white risograph prints for this installation. Thank you

VOID Exhibition at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. 19 International designers have been invited to represent a personal position on a t-shirt within a pre-defined area. Graphic design, art and architecture occupy abstract spaces subtly or directly in our perception, and tangible spaces in our environment. By design VOID aims to explore the possibilities and limits of the occupation of spaces in an interdisciplinary discourse.

Curiosity Mars Rover (2012) computer drawing
I was asked by Jérémie from
Kiblind Magazine to publish an illustration in the artistic 'Pages Blanches' section, with the non-explicit theme 'Seul au Monde'. As I have been following the
landing sequence of the Curiosity (the Mars rover of the Mars Exploration Program by NASA) very closely, I was astonished by the complexity of it and — of course — the successful touchdown. To me the theme of the next Kiblind issue was a great opportunity to portrait the Mars rover.
